Cinderella is one of the favorite stories. It is dreaming story because it is happy end. I think that all girls had longing her. When I was elementary school student, I play Cinderella with my classmates. I am Rena so it was called Ciderena. The role of prince was the person who I liked. The scene of Ball, I wore the dress and I ha
d to dance with him. But it is difficult for me to avoid my feeling. I remember the memory when I read the book. I think that it is interesting for me to read in English. There are the words with I do not know. Cinderella’s mother is Stepmother. It is called Mamahaha in Japanese. Cinderella works hard every day. She has two sisters, Griselda and Grimella. I have never heard the name. One day Stepmother said to her sisters that “I have the most exciting news. The Prince is giving a Christmas Ball and you are invited.” But Cinderella did not invite to the Ball. Her Stepmother said that “You? Go to the Ball? You must be joking. You belong in the Kitchen.” The words are very sad. Cinderella was crying. Then Cinderella was left alone. She thought that I wish I could go to the Ball. At the time, there is the god mother. It’s a wand. The time has come to tell you a great secret. Your godmother is a fairy! Her magic makes the pumpkin stood a beautiful golden coach. Cinderella could go to the Ball. I think that it is promised that Prince fall in love with Cinderella then.

BR02-14 The Revealing Story of Underwear

“Most of these shapes would be impossible without some special underwear.” (p.6)

style="margin: 0mm 0mm 0pt;"> I find the interesting book which name is The Revealing Story of Underwear. Have you ever had the question how is in the dress when you watch the foreign movie? The dress is so beautiful. I had been to the Palace of Versailles and I had watched the movie which was made in there. It is gorgeous so I want to wear such a dress once. There is more to underwear than frilly lace. It can keep you warm and stop you from getting embarrassed and it can help to keep your other clothes clean. Centuries ago, people did not wash that often. Underwear can also give a certain shape to clothes. It can help people get the figure they would like. Thorough history, fashions have changed from wide hips to flat chest to pointy breasts. I think that the form of underwear is the fashions of the age. By now, “closed” drawers were catching on. These were drawers with the seams sewn up between the legs. People called them knickerbockers-knickers for short. I think that it is similar to the underwear today.

 In the 16^th century, the age of small waists and curvy hips began. To force their figures into this hourglass shape, women needed special underwear. It is bodice which was also known as stays, though by the end of 18^th century they were called corsets. It is very popular but they were also expensive, since each one had to be stitched by hand.

 We can understand about underwear to use the picture of last page. It is very interesting for me to learn it.

BR02-13 Snow Magic!

“If it’s too warm for the snow to stay in the ground, he has a big problem!” (p.4)

The city of Minneapolis is one the clodest places in the United States. Winter there usually lasts a very long time However, even in winter the area sometimes has warmer weather, and that means less snow. There is no snow in Kumamoto. So when I found the book, I was surprised. And it is strange for me to be together the sun and the snow in picture. Most people really like this warm weather, I like warmer than snow too. But it is too warm for the snow to stay on the ground, there is a big problem.

Why does Raedeke need snow? He owns the wild mountain Ski Area in Taylors Falls, Minnesota. And snow has always been a very important part of Raedeke’s life. Have you ever seen the mechanical engineering? He studied of making machines and systems. Snowmaking is kind of a science, but it is also an art. In the page, I can watch the picture of snowmaking. It is fun for me. There are good things about both real and manmade snow. Real snow is drier, softer, and of better than quality for skiing. Raedeke then talks about the building that houses the pumps for making snow. I can learn some special device in the book.

 How many people are in your family? I am a family of four. I have a brother. He is junior high school student. He plays badminton. He goes to same school. I talk about common teacher with him. Do you eat with your family? I often eat with my father. There is no right of TV so my father always choice his favorite TV program. I watched Jun and Ai. Do you know that? It is the drama of morning. I am surprised that Itoshi played by Shun Kazama is Johnny’s Jr. By the way, who is the friend who lives so far? I have the friends around the world because I had lived in France. I went to Japanese elementary school. Did you go to class reunion? I had the class reunion before the ceremony of twenty. Drop dead diva

 I watched the movie which called “Drop dead diva”. I choose it the movie because it looks like fun. I like pink and the cover is interesting.

The center’s woman is Jane Bingum. She is lawyer and she is very intelligent. She is overweight and big. She was killed by someone who had grudge. She was killed early. The drama takes few minutes. The man was jealous over her superior because him wife cheated on his husband. Jane got involved in the jealousy. She was not interested to fashion and trend so she always wear her own suit. She did not have confidence in herself. She was a hard worker.

Deb Dobkins is a beautiful woman. She wants to be a model. So she limits to eating and she is thin. She has blond hair and she is beautiful. I think that she thinks just herself because her friends said that she is egotistic in front of her grave. But she was loved by Grayson Kent. Grayson is hansom and maybe kind. (Because I just had watched the drama 1 so I do not know how is he.)

 I like ironic blue. There is the manicure in the drama. I wear pink nail polish now so I am going to change the color from pink to blue. I want to wear the blue nail polish with my little finger. The timid woman can tell her husband something to think of. Kim Kaswell is beautiful but I think she is spiteful. In the court, she deceived into Jane. It is cowardly to tell a lie to her.

 It is comedy so I could enjoy this drama. I like Jay Parker. I had watched the drama like Drop dead diva. That is made in Korea. The story is similar to it so the main character was close to death but the manager like jay, support to live again. The final is the main character fall in love with the manager. I am on my mind how the story is. I am going to watch the drama series in this spring vacation.

My favorite weather

What is the weather today? I like sunny the best because it feel good. I want to go to anywhere. If it is sunny, I can wash the closes. When I had the ceremony of twenty years old, it was sunny. It was happy for us to hold the ceremony. If it was rainy, the Japanese close was wet. We could take the pictures with some people. I like the picture of sky. I like blue sky. I have many pictures which are taken in the sunny day. I like Friday. I like sunny Friday. I have only class in the morning on Friday. So I can do whatever I want in the noon. I am glad if it is sunny. When I was high school student, I like rain better than sunny. Because I was effected by the novel. The novel said that we cannot feel the temperature of rain without getting wet.

Holiday plans and vacations

What will you do for vacation? How do you spend this spring vacation? I am going to go Kobe to meet my friend. I think that Kobe is big city. I am longing. Where have you ever gone to? My best vacation is last summer. I went to France and U.K. with my friends. It was very interested for me to travel with them. I had to do something myself. It is free but it had responsibility. I planed the schedule in France. We went to the Eiffel Tower, triumphal arch, the Louvre and Notre Dame. I like the row of houses and streets. We had been lost child but it was even interested for me. In the hotel, we enjoyed to stay. I often slept with Madoka. We talked about a lot of things. It was very fun. I want to go to trip with them. Where would you go if you had lots of money? I want to go Europe again. I have many countries which I want to go. I wanted to stay at the rich hotel and to go shopping. How many do you get on the plane?  Do you like getting on the plane? I like getting on the plane because it is excited for me to travel by plane. I think that I travel now when I get on the plane.

When I was child, I like cucumber rolled with rice. I like bream recently. It does not have smell so I recommend to the person who has never eaten sushi. I like Chinese food too. I often eat sweet and sour pork. I like Italian. I like spaghetti which my mother cooks. My mother is good at cooking so I want to be like her. I am not good at cooking. But my favorite dish to cook is meet dumpling. What dishes do you cook well? What did you cook in the home economics class? I cooked miso soup and rice ball. Why I remember that things, my father raved about my rice ball. It was glad for me because it is rare for me to be raved.

I am always in trouble when I have to speak about my hometown. I was born in Kumamoto and I live in Kumamoto now. So I have no special topic. I think that you know about Kumamoto more than me. I do not go out anytime. I do not know what is rare for you. Have you ever been to the Kumamoto castle? And have you ever gone to the op of castle? I had gone to there once. I think that the place is rare for us because the person who live in Kumamoto do not have chance to go there. I recommend for you to go to the top. You can watch Kumamoto city. Sports and outside of class activities

Which do you like better playing sports or watching sports? I like watching sports because I am not good at play any sports. I do not like physical education when I was high school. I do not like swimming so I remember that I feel sad in the class. I like soccer but I cannot understand how we play. I am afraid of attack to the ball. It is hard ball. If the ball hit me, I have in the pain.  What do you think of Tokyo Olympic? Do you want to be host country? Do you want to hold the Olympic in Japan? I think that the economy will pick up speed if we can hold it in Japan. And I want to see the sport beside. It is very excited for me.  Sports are able to connect many people.

What do you do out of class? I have to come home early because my parents are very strict. I do not join the club but I had the mass media class out of the class. In the class, I learn how the mass media have to be. It is interested for me to study about TV and newspaper.

BR02-12 Frog and Toad Together

I like this book very much so I am very happy to find this book in the library. I think that it is very famous in Japan. I learned one of the stories when I was elementally school student. It is heartwarming story. I like “A List” is the best. Toad is cute and careless person. Frog is A man of strong character. I like the drawing. One day, Toad makes a list. He checks the list so he can remember what he has to do. But he lost the list. He is in trouble so he want to help to Frog. Finally, they could not find the list but he wrote and crossed out “Go to sleep” on the ground and go to sleep with Frog. Other stories are so fun. I want to read to take much time. I want to rent the book again.

BR02-11 CALIFORNIA

Why I choose the book is very simple reason. Do you know the song which is called California king bed? It is sung by Rihanna. I like the song very much. When I went to Karaoke with Taylor who lived in my house two days as exchange student, I sang the song. It is very very interested for me. I have never forget to sing the song with Taylor. But the book has no mean as California king bed. The bed is very big and California is very big too. American call California ‘The Golden State’. There are gold and silver in the mountains. We can see the great cities, the big park, the beautiful desert in California. The pictures are so good. I want to go there. America made California an American state in 1850. America won the Mexican-America War. There are many earthquake. At 5.13 a.m. on April 18, 1960, there was terrible earthquake in San Francisco. I did not know the fact. The earthquake in San Francisco destroyed about 5000 buildings immediately.  

Do you know Yosemite National Park? It is very vast place. Yosemite is the place for climbing, walking, bicycling and camping. The picture is wonder. And side of picture is sunset with Lake Tahoe. I want to visit to there. California has the famous city which is Los Angeles. I had heard the name of city. The city is very cool. There are a lot of place own foreign countries. We can enjoy foreign living in the state. We can see the desert. There is the Aerial Tramway. When I read the book, I want to go to Colifornia.

BR02-10 The Inch Prince

Do you know The Inch Prince? It is famous story in Japan. Once upon a time, there is husband and wife. Their names are Mr. and Mrs. Ping. They are very kind. So the fairy thinks that I will be kind to them. I had never known the existence of fairy in the story. I think that the story written by foreigner. So there is magic and cute fairy. They had a teeny weeny boy. They called him Issun boushi. It means one inch boy. He is very small until time is getting on. Many years later, it was time for Issun boushi leave the home. He wants to get a job in the city. His parents gave him three presents for him. It is famous things, the bowl for a boat and the chopsticks for oars and the needle for a sword. He is very teeny so he is in trouble to find his job. He becomes the Majesty of the princess. One day, a giant ogre crashed through the trees. He saves the princess from the giant ogre. And he grows up to use the magical hammer. Finally, the princess fell in love with issun boushi. It is happy story. It has little American taste so it is fun for me to read again.

From Up On Poppy Hill

I watched the movie which is called “Kokuriko zaka kara”. It is called From Up On Poppy Hill in English. Do you know it? It is one of the Studio Ghibli. I like Studio Ghibli very much. I wanted to watch the movie when it was released. But I could not watch it. I heard that it is difficult to understand. I did not know this movie inside out. If you have never watched this movie, you must not read the content.

The main character is Matsuzaki Umi. She is called ‘Meru’ by her family. She is student but she can cook and sawing. I think that I want to be like her. So she has her head screwed on the right way. I like her and I wanted to born same age. Her character is so nice I want to be her friend. Kazama Shun is fresh. He likes Umi. Umi likes him. I like this couple because they are pure. It is heartwarming story. I was surprised to hear that Umi is Shun’s sister. I heard it from commercial. If the person who I love is my brother, I was very sad. The movie was draw feathery. I like Mizunuma Sirou. He has a good head on his shoulders. He is intelligent and he wears the grasses. I think that there are many people who like him. He is very kind. I remember that he escorted Umi’s sister gently. I forget introducing Sora. Matsuzaki Sora is Umi’s sister. I think that she made the prompt to meet Shun and Umi. At first, Umi liked Shun but she felt her sister’s feeling so she gave up him. I think that she likes Sirou. I think that there are mamy acts which have mean in Studio Ghibli. I like it very much so It makes me kindly. In this spring vacation, I want to watch many movie of Studio Ghibli.

My favorite candy

My favorite candy is fruit candy. Do you often eat candy? I do not have eat candy recently. I often eat candy when i was child. I like Anpanman's candy. It is so cute. The candy was form of Anpanman. And I liked stick candy. When I visit the video rental shop, I can gat the stick candy. It is named Peropero candy. I think that the candy is known by many people who born near my birth year. I was glad if my mother gave me the stick candy as snack. When I had lived in France, I ate many colorful candies. There are a lot of kind candies in France. My friends gave me some gumi like gum. It is wonder taste. I see the candies in Kumamoto. News have some candies made in foreign country. I am longing for the living in France with the colorful candies but the taste is made in Japan is the best.

My favorite book is Le Petit Prince. I like the book very much. I had read the book when I was elementary student. The book was written by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. I like the pictures too. Do you know that the pictures were written by Saint-Exupery? The book has many famous saying. I like rose. She is so cute and she is selfishness. The trite is difficult so the prince put it his planet and he leave. The prince noticed that the rose is very important for him after he leaved the planet. He like rose very very much. I like fox's words. I recommend you to read Le petit Prince. I do not have read the book so I have no idea to write. I want to read the book now. My favorite song is Hitorinbo Envy. It is made by Denpole producer. I do not know him or her. But the songs are very nice. I want to recomend you. I have a lot of favorite songs but I have no friends to share my hobby. I like Shien. His voice is very nice. For the first time, I hear his voice and I like him very much. I always listen to the music. Hitorinbo Envy was sung by Shien. Many people sing the song but I like it the best. The song is Rock. Denpole producer’s song is wonder. Electric music is very nice. I like Sainousumpler. I want to know you so I show the song sang by shien. I want to sing someday. I like Mikito producer’s song too. His song’s words were nice so I do not choice the best of his song. I recommend Sarishinohara and Youdachi no Ribbon Setagaya Safari.

It is habitual for me to eat the fruits after the dinner. I like fruits very much. It is health and it can support to become beauty. I often eat apple. I like apple in honey. It is very sweet. My grandparents often give me the apples when winter comes. I have a image that apple is cute fruits because it is in Snow White. When I eat it, I am very happy. I like strawberry the best because I have eaten it since I was child. My grandmother and grandfather took me strawberry farm every year. When I could not go there, they sent me a lot of strawberries. Today, I recommend the movie which called “Girl with a Pearl Earring”. It is famous painting. I think that you had seen once. I like the picture because it is beautiful. I like the girl. I think that she is near my age. I like the painter too. His picture is no more. He is from Holland. I had been there. I like Holland so I want to go there some day. I watched the windmills. I remember that I could not visit to the cute shop which I found in the bus. I told my father to go there but he did not follow me. I remember it very well.

 Griet is cute. She is quiet. She does not talk to more. I like her because she is mysterious. The movie does not have many words but the effect is nice. Johannes Vermeer is the painter. He is very cool. I like his eyes because I cannot guess what he thinks about. I had known him but I was not interested in him. If I was interested in his arts early, I may be able to watch his art in Japan. His arts were in Japan as a display Vermeer. I want to go to watch“Girl with a Pearl Earring”.
